Stand-up comedian Chris Ramsey will treat Derbyshire Dales fans to a taste of material which he will be airing at this year’s Edinburgh Festival.
The television star tops a Stagefright Comedy Club Special at The Fishpond, Matlock Bath, on Thursday, July 16.
The show will be a warm-up for Chris’s forthcoming festival appearance in Scotland to be followed by an extended tour that will keep him on the road until early December.
Join Chris as he explores getting older, taking responsibility and all of the other terrifying realisations that come with being dragged kicking and screaming into modern adulthood.
Star of BBC2’s Hebburn, Chris is a regular on Celebrity Juice and his television credits include Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Big News, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Argumental.
He has performed three solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival where his second creation Offermation was nominated for the Fosters’ Comedy Award in 2011 (formerly the Perrier).
Chris began his comedy career in 2007 by hosting an open mic night in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. A year later he was nominated for Chortle Student Comedian of the Year.
Renowned for his powers of persuasion, he is the man who once got pizza delivered to a moving train.
Steve Bugeja will be the supporting act for Chris’s show at The Fishpond.
The BBC Radio New Comedy Award-winner comes fresh from supporting Russell Kane on his UK theatre tour.
Next month he’s heading off to the Edinburgh Festival to perform his solo show which is a true story about the time he picked up a criminal from prison and transported him across the country on his first time out of capitivity in 18 years.
When he’s not entertaining the masses with his stand-up routine, Steve writes for popular TV shows Mock The Week, 8 Out Of Ten Cats and Russell Howard’s Good News.
The show at the The Fishpond starts at 8pm.
