The Ship of Fools Comedy Club sails back into Number 28 in Belper this weekend with three more top new talents from the UK circuit.
First up is Caroline Mabey who has already caused plenty of mirth at the Edinburgh Fringe where she was described as ‘brilliantly funny and wonderfully silly’ and producing ‘some of the most bewildering and wonderful lines you could hope to topple from a person’s mouth.’
Ditzy and spectacularly absurd, this meandering whirligig of a show leaves you feeling a little bit dizzy and very happy.
Also on board is Dotty Winters, a Funny Women finalist in 2013 and a semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny in 2014.
Leading comic Zoe Lyons describes her as ‘a breath of fresh air to the circuit’.
The third member of the crew is Thom Bee.
Thom is a comedian from Rochdale which is perhaps why he chose to begin comedy as far away form home as possible in Germany.
Trained as a circus performer, Thom uses his warm, naive and generally quite silly style to make audiences laugh as he shares his thoughts on a whole range of subjects from the fragility of masculinity to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The line-up is completed by highly promising newcomer Alex Black, who hails from the West Midlands.
Holding things all together as ever will be resident compere Alan Seaman.
The show takes place on Saturday, June 4 at 8pm.
Tickets are £7 and available now on 07804 563371 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Audience members are reminded that they need to bring their own drinks.
