Art club’s work goes on display

The Chesterfield Art Club will hold the first of its four annual Art Exhibitions this year at Ashover Parish Hall, to coincide with the village May Day Carnival.

This year the exhibition, to which admission is free, is to be held over three days – May 5-7 from 10am-5pm at the Milken Lane venue – to accommodate the visitors to the carnival and the nearby Caravan Rally.

This will also give the villagers who are involved in the Monday carnival a chance to see the exhibition.

There are usually around 150 original works of art from over 45 artists on show, covering a wide range of subjects, in a variety of different media, and most of the work is for sale.

Admission is free and there is plenty of car parking available. This has always been an exhibition that attracts very favourable comments from people who come from near and far, and is well worth a visit.

The club is always interested in attracting new members. For further information, contact Terry Pashley on 01246 416565 or e-mail
