There’s an evening of burlesque lined up for Glee Club Nottingham on Sunday, March 2.
Hot off the heels of its smash-hit November show, the most extravagant variety show Nottingham has ever seen is making its sixth welcome return to the venue. Dress to impress and join the fun for an evening of glamour, comedy, music and more.
Heading up the star-studded bill is Miss Abigail Collins. After expelling herself from The Royal Ballet School, pint-sized comedy powerhouse Abigail has become well known on the cabaret circuit for her multi-talented mix of comedy and circus, not to mention her uncanny ability to push the envelope well past its sticking point, with the physique of an athlete and the mouth of Joan Rivers.
Headlining star Gwendoline Lamour was at the vanguard of the UK’s burlesque revival and continues to be one of the most accomplished and influential performers of classic burlesque.
Also appearing will be The Bee’s Knees, kicking the 1920s into the thoroughly modern day with a high-energy Charleston dance, full of humour, style and finesse.
All is overseen by Scarlett Daggers, the one who makes all this possible. This Rock’N’Roll redhead will get you hot under the collar with her sizzling stage presence.
Tickets are £15, doors open at 6.30pm and the show is for those aged 18 and over. Call the box office on 0871 472 0400.
