Clive Carroll, the man who struck a chord with Madonna, is to perform a gig atThe Queen’s Head in Belper on Saturday, March 2.

As comfortable with Bach and Dowland as he is with blues and folk structures, Clive has evolved a style of playing and writing which not only defies boundaries but has also seen him widely acclaimed as one of the top ten acoustic guitarists on the planet.

A chance encounter with the great John Renbourn led to extensive touring and recording and even playing at private parties for the likes of Madonna.

Clive’s most recent album, which is entitled Living in Colour, displays not only his musical range but a real sense of adventure in his playing.
