MATLOCK Rugby Club will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of its live music event Music on the Meadows later this summer.
As usual, the event is headlined by local 12-piece, soul, rock and blues group The Wam Bam Band with support this year coming from local covers band All Points West.
The Wam Bam Band will be playing their established mix of tunes with one or two twists on some modern classics thrown in for fun. This is an event that is guaranteed to have everyone on the dance floor so bring your best dancing shoes and join in the fun.
The event is held at Matlock Rugby Club, situated at Cromford Meadows. Doors open at 6pm and the event runs until around midnight. Refreshment is available via two fully stocked bars serving a selection of beers, wines and spirits plus a food outlet supplied by local Indian restaurant Maazi. Tickets are on sale now from David Bray Opticians, Bank Road, Matlock (daytime), Maazi Indian Restaurant, Matlock (evenings) and The Black’s Head pub in Wirksworth.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £8 for Under 18s. Last year the event was a total sell-out so it is worth getting your tickets early as only a handful will be available on the door.
