A series of concerts at the Old King’s Head have been organised under the banner of Belper Goes Live.

The first of these Nailed Down performances is on Friday, September 18.

The aim is to give some reward and payback to artistes who have given, or will give, their time and talent freely at Belper Goes Green event.

The first of these concerts features Robyn Johnson and Experimental Sonic Machines - who were both big hits at Belper Goes Green 2015 - and Sam Harrison, a singer-songwriter described as performing ‘influential dreamy tuneful sixties led music’.

Robyn Johnson narrowly missed being voted as the artist to take on Simon Cowell for the Christmas No 1 slot and is a bit hit locally. Experimental Sonic Machines were a huge hit at Belper Goes Green earlier this year.

Tickets are only £6 and should be booked in advance, either by emailing d.george349@btinternet.com or calling in at the Old King’s Head.

Future dates for Nailed Down concerts are October 23, November 20 and December 30.
