Nottingham Castle will be the setting as Derbyshire theatre company Oddsocks bring their latest UK tour back to the area.
Oddsocks Productions was set up 26 years ago by Andy Barrow and Elli Mackenzie and is a critically acclaimed nationally touring theatre company who take classic texts and create bold, challenging,
innovative and interactive theatre to be enjoyed by all.
Oddsocks’ performance style is for a totally modern audience says Elli Mackenzie: “This is Shakespeare for 2015! There’s no expectations of our audience, no prior knowledge, just the knowledge they’re in for a good night out filled with live music and laughs!”
Oddsocks return this summer with copious amounts of their inimitable classic style of comedy: a double-bill of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Much Ado About Nothing, both combined with classic Brit-pop music
Oddsocks’ Twelfth Night is back by popular demand; a madcap musical treat with Shakespeare’s famous love story intertwined with live performances of well-known British chart hits.
Joining Twelfth Night is Much Ado About Nothing, a high-octane musical version of Shakespeare’s witty battle of the sexes featuring well-known UK hits from the best music decades.
You can see Twelfth Night at Nottingham Castle on July 22-23 from 7pm, and Much Ado About Nothing on July 24-25, also from 7pm. Call the box office on 0115 989 5555 or see www.oddsocks.co.uk
