Sixties star Joe Brown is heading for Derbyshire on the second leg of a long and tough tour.
He’s playing at Buxton Opera House on Saturday, January 23, where he will be drawing on half a century of music.
Joe’s guitar playing has been lauded by his fellow artists including George Harrison, Mark Knopfler and Keith Richards.
Joe’s last long-player The Ukelele Album demonstrated his love of that instrument, one he’s championed for many years, but his accomplishments are spread wide. He also plays mandolin, mandola, fiddle, trumpet, banjo and, of course, electric and acoustic guitar.
His live show, which has been on the road since November, includes old favourites, rockers and new songs with a twist in which Joe is accompanied by a four-strong band including his musical director son Pete.
Joe Brown in Concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets £27-£29. Contact 01289 72190 or www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
