Three of the best in orchestra’s concert

Derby Concert Orchestra’s first concert of 2014 takes place at Derby Cathedral on Saturday, March 15.

The concert, to be conducted by Jonathan Trout, will feature three popular classics.

The concert opens with Brahms’s Academic Festival Overture and will be followed by Dvorak’s much-loved Cello Concerto, with Graham Morris as the soloist. The third piece is Rimsky-Korsakov’s colourful orchestral showpiece Scheherezade.

The concert starts at 7pm and tickets are available on the door or from Foulds.
