THERE’S a double dose of tribute heaven at The Flowerpot in Derby this week, starting with an appearance on Friday, March 9, by The Clone Roses.
The timing couldn’t be better to enjoy a trip back in time to those heady Madchester days as The Stone Roses themselves are gearing up for a selection of summer reunion gigs.
Before then, try this top tribute act as they play their way through such classic Roses tracks as Fool’s Gold, I Wanna Be Adored, Waterfall and many more.
Then, on Saturday, March 10, there’s another tribute at the King Street venue to a classic British band of an older vintage. The Kast Off Kinks will be performing from the illustrious back catalogue of Ray Davies and co.
For something different, try Woolley and Archer in the latest of the free Acoustic Wednesdays sessions, on March 14, from 9pm in the bar.
Doors open for the other two gigs at 8pm and admission is £10 for The Clone Roses and £12 for The Kast Off Kinks. Call RAW Promotions for more information on 01332 834438.
