If you enjoyed the performances of finalist Matt Henry on the BBC show The Voice in 2013, then you are going to love an event coming up at The Grand Pavilion in Matlock Bath on Saturday, September 6.
The talented singer will be appearing at the venue in an event that has been arranged by Matlock’s Anthony Fern.
Anthony is a freelance graphic designer, with a studio in Sheffield.
After attending Highfields School and then Chesterfield College, Anthony’s flourishing career has already seen him secure the golden opportunity of creating the entire branding and artwork for the launch of Matt Henry’s forthcoming debut album and a friendship has developed from there. He has designed the logo, album cover and all promotional material.
Matt Henry will be launching his album in October but before then he has agreed to be appear at this event at The Grand Pavilion, organised by Anthony.
Anthony explained: “Matt Henry was in The Voice final last year and I feel that something like this is a pretty big thing for the Matlock area and the Pavilion.
“I want this to be a family-friendly event so children of all ages can come along too. We have the bar at the Pavilion and we have it until midnight. Opening the event will be a funk and soul DJ at 7pm, then we will have one or two support acts, then Matt will play with his acoustic band, then the DJ will play until the close.
“In a sense I want it to be like the Pavilion was when I was younger. when I remember they had family events, with the balloons falling from the roof!”
Tickets are £7 for adults and £3 for children under the age of 16, available from Spinderella on Dale Road, Matlock or at Skiddle.com; http://www.skiddle.com/e/12230254/
