Dozens of dance students will be lighting up the stage in a kaleidoscope of choreography.

Peak Performance Theatre School’s show coincides with their choreographer and producer Jill Ferguson’s award for 40 years service with the International Dance Teachers Association.

The production is entitled Shine! and will be staged for one night only at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre on Tuesday, October 27.

Jill said: “We have over 60 dance students performing in this year’s show and the youngest are age only three!

“Our junior and senior students have worked tirelessly to perfect some tricky choreography and this only reflects the constantly evolving high standards that the recognised I.D.T.A dance training revolves.”

Shine! starts at 7pm and features ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and street dance with an eclectic mix of colourful choreography inspired by current West End productions, Peter Pan and chart music. A “Bewitching” opening theme to the show will reflect the run-up to Halloween at the end of the month.

Tickets are priced at £15, available from the Pomegranate Theatre box office, tel. 01246 335222 or visit the website,

Jill, who is principal of Peak Performance Theatre School, founded the establishment in 1988.
