A body recovered from a stretch of the River Trent in Nottingham is believed to be that of a man reported missing from his home in Ripley.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police recovered the body from water near Colwick Hall on Tuesday, April 7.

It is believed to be that of Paul Salt, who was reported missing from his home in Briars Way, Ripley, on March 24.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
