East Midlands weather update
The Met Office is predicting a cloudy day for the East Midlands today, Thursday, July 31, despite a bright start in Chesterfield.
As the day progresses it expected to become rather cloudy with scattered showers through much of the day.
These may become heavy and perhaps thundery but with sunshine in between especially this afternoon when many parts will turn dry.
By the evening there is a chance of a heavy shower but most parts should stay dry.
A dry night is expected across the region with clear spells.
