Man injured after three-vehicle crash on Derbyshire road

Emergency services dealt with a three-vehicle crash on a Derbyshire road which left a man injured.

The collision happened on Snake Road, Glossop, on Sunday afternoon.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Derbyshire police, East Midlands Ambulance Service, North West Air Ambulance Charity and mountain rescue teams all attended.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue service said: “At 1.48pm on Sunday, firefighters from Glossop fire station attended a road traffic collision involving two cars and one motorbike on Snake Road, Glossop.

“Firefighters assisted East Midlands Ambulance Service, Derbyshire police and mountain rescue with making the scene safe.”

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary added: “The force was called to a collision between a Yamaha motorcycle, a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Focus.

“The motorcycle rider, a 56-old-man, was left with a broken wrist and enquiries are ongoing into the incident.”

There was also a clean-up operation to clear debris and fuel from the road following the crash.
