Derbyshire is home to plenty of great pubs, restaurants and scenic beauty spots – but where do celebrities visit when they find themselves in the area?
These are some of the places frequented by famous names across Derbyshire and the Peak District – including Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Liam Gallagher, Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe.
Taylor Swift has been spotted with Harry Styles on a Derbyshire excursion, with the famous pair stopping for lunch at the Rising Sun in Bamford some 11 years ago. Harry has also been sighted again in Derbyshire more recently. Back in 2022, along with then-partner Olivia Wilde, Styles visited the Chatsworth Estate and Chatsworth Kitchen at the Peak Village shopping centre in Rowsley. Johnny Vegas is certainly a fan of Derbyshire - choosing Melbourne Hall in the south of the county as the site for his vintage vehicle glampsite. Vegas said: “When we realised we needed a new home we were wondering whether we could find anywhere that came close to the original. When we came to look around (Melbourne Hall) we were absolutely thrilled at the prospect of starting anew. It’s a beautiful part of the country and just kind of love at first sight.” Photo: Brian Eyre
TV presenter Julia Bradbury has also praised the beauty of the Peak District. The former Countryfile broadcaster said: “Dovedale Valley along the River Dove is a favourite - reminds me of walking with Dad when I was a little girl; plus, it is gorgeous and peaceful along the river.” Photo: Tristan Fewings/Getty Images
Edinson Cavani will be well-known by football fans - appearing for the likes of Manchester United, PSG, Napoli and Valencia across the course of his illustrious career. The Uruguayan striker was spotted in Bakewell back in 2022, recovering from a game at Old Trafford against Watford the day before. Photo: Daniel Jayo/Getty Images
